LitLife's Executive Director and Team Leaders regularly bring their literacy education expertise to seminars at conferences across the country. Every seminar is packed with practical suggestions, innovative teaching methods, proven techniques, and plenty of support in the invaluable work of teaching reading and writing. LitLife Leaders share books, lessons, units and strategies to help you craft your teaching. LitLife's seminars are immediate and engaging: with video clips and other multimedia, role-plays, and transcripts, they use active, lively learning.
LitLife also runs its own LitLink seminars in various locations in New York, where expert speakers and master teachers share suggestions and strategies for effective, joyful teaching. Past topics have included time management, conferring, content area writing, unit building, classroom organization, literacy coaching, gender issues, comprehension strategies and narrative writing. Featuring the top names in education, LitLink workshops provide an incredible learning opportunity with the finest practitioners and experts in the field. Past speakers have included Richard Allington, Judy Davis, Georgia Heard, Shelley Harwayne, Lester Laminack, Tim Rasinski, Harvey “Smokey” Daniels and Kelly Gallagher.
