Jenny Koons   Charter School Team Leader

Jenny taught for several years in Brooklyn, where she served as a writing lab teacher and math lead teacher. In addition to teaching in public schools, Jenny was a founding teacher and Dean of Students at Achievement First in East New York, Brooklyn. She also taught English-as-a-Second-Language across small towns in Italy, writing innovative language curricula with a focus in the Arts. Jenny had the privilege of traveling to Africa in 2008 and 2009, leading and designing teacher training programs for school communities in Nairobi, Kenya and Monrovia, Liberia. Since joining LitLife in 2007, Jenny has focused on new school development, working alongside charter schools to develop effective literacy programs and teacher training sessions.
