What is LitWorld?

Founded in 2007, LitWorld is an international nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization developing and implementing innovative programs and community initiatives for literacy achievement and creating transformational experiences that promote literacy. Through teacher training, writing workshops, family storytelling, and the sharing of books and technology, LitWorld brings teachers and families the resources that will foster a truly literate generation. LitWorld works with communities in areas lacking in resources and support, using education to break the cycle of poverty and advocating for equal access to quality literacy education across all borders and boundaries, for all the world's children. Literacy levels correlate directly with health, safety, and life expectancy, and words can change worlds.
